1099. You set your own hours. You accept or decline every job. You can drive Uber, DoorDash, or anything else the same day. We don't tell you when to work — you open the app when you want and pick up jobs. Once you accept a Simply trip, you must complete it before accepting a conflicting job from another company.
Yes — you'll use your own car to get to customer pickups. Standard personal auto insurance required. We add a hired/non-owned auto endorsement on our policy that covers you when you're on a trip in the customer's car (your personal policy doesn't cover business use).
$25 charged at application via Stripe. We use it to run Checkr. If you pass and complete 5 trips, the deposit is refunded to your account. If you fail the screen, $25 is non-refundable (covers our Checkr cost).

1-hour paid ride-along with a senior driver. We pay you $28 for it. We watch how you handle a real pickup → charge → return. If you scored 6+ on our 8-point checklist, you're cleared.
Stripe Connect direct deposit, weekly. Tuesday for the prior Mon-Sun shifts. 65% of base trip fee goes to you, plus 100% of tips, plus any bonuses (referrals, peak surge).
Our $250K Garagekeepers Direct Primary policy covers it (EV-rated, includes battery thermal events). You're not personally liable for accidental damage during a trip. Willful misconduct is different — that's on you.
We carry Occupational Accident insurance for all 1099 drivers. Covers medical + lost wages if you're injured during a trip. Different from W-2 workers' comp but functionally similar coverage. Cost to you: $0 — included.
